Thunder Daughter

An image inspired by Ancient Aztec/Mayan designs. This is Mirii (the Kiravai) and Lim (the small doglike creature), in the guise of "Nineteen Reed"/Hetuome's Thunder Daughter and her guardian beast.

Marker and inks on Bristol Board. This one has also been adjusted digitally, to place the lightning in the background, and desaturate the colours.
"Thunder Daughter" is the title of my NaNoWriMo novel for 2007, and the first in the series "Aude Sapere"; my first year doing it and my first "win" (exceeded 50,000 words). This novel is currently in the editing stage, but I hope to self-publish it sometime soon. See "Writing" for more details.
