Who needs wings, anyway?

This started out with the intention of being a stitched flower, but I misjudged and ran out of room, and it turned into a twee little heart-shaped balloon. The spider jumped on for a ride. Her eighth arm is behind her.

Cotton sewn directly onto paper, onto which the spider was drawn, and coloured with markers. Inks took a long time to dry on this. :(
